Negotiation
Based on the survey, you can refuse to purchase the boat if you don’t like the condition of the boat. However, some small findings or defect can be a good excuse to start negotiation of the price with the seller. Negotiation is a key benefit for the purchasing of a used boat. There are a lot of similar boats out there, so you as a buyer, you have more power to choose a right boat. Never give up your advantage in the negotiation as a buyer.
USA Yacht Export will conduct strategic negotiation to drive the deal to better price and condition for you.


Deal and paperwork
If buyer and seller agree on the final price and condition, final purchasing agreement is signed by both parties. As soon as funding to the seller (or broker) is completed, Bill of Sale and Vessel Title will be delivered to you. Now, you are an official owner of the boat.

– Vessel Legislation and Titles
– Builder’s Certificate

Broker, who works for a seller, wants to keep the price as high as possible.
Escrow Service
Escrow Service
Some sellers (or brokers) request a deposit before sea trial or survey. We normally use Escrow service to secure the deposit for seller or buyer. The deposit is fully refundable and the seller is not able to touch it until the bill of sale is signed. USA Yacht Export will arrange the escrow service for you when it’s necessary.


Safe Funding
Wire transferring a big amount of money to an unfamiliar party is a very nervous action. USA Yacht Export verifies the ownership of the boat and searches lien of the seller.
We normally recommend transferring 10% of the fund to the seller and make sure all the transaction was smooth. 90% of the fund is wired afterward.
USA Yacht Export does not conduct wire transfer of the fund for you. The fund should be wired from you to the seller (or vendors such as shipper, contractors) directly. We know that is more work for you but in this way, we guarantee you better transparency on the deal and price of the service.
